Dry erase cards are a simple, easy-to-use multifunctional resource to help you improve your day-to-day living, whether it’s at home, work, or in the classroom.
Dry Erase Cards are a product made entirely by and sold under Zeoin. We used and demonstrated skills from throughout the entire product life cycle, taking Dry Erase Cards from concept all the way to market.
Zeoin was built on the value of ideas and when we are not thinking about and generating ideas for our clients we are focusing on our own. When working with clients I would use post-it notes in order to help illustrate things such as website layout because they enabled me to change the order at will and encouraged the generation of more items from who I was working with.
The problem with post-it notes is that there were not re-usable and un-editable. Often I would be changing what was on the note as well as re-arranging it as well as burning through the stack. This gave me the idea to create a more substantial thing to use, a robust, re-usable and editable, ‘Dry Erase Card’.
Idea’s are just 1% of the work, so we decided to go into action and begin building the brand and design of what Dry Erase Cards would look like. This included all graphic design and concept done by us: Packing, Logos and Images. We wanted the design to be simple and show creativity. Dry Erase Cards where going to be a versatile product so we didn't want to establish any particular use.
This meant that the design took the form of ‘doodles’ and pen strokes - Enlisting my friends and family to put their doodling skills to the test to product some simple and unique artwork for the product.
Market research was conducted to find the ideal size for the cards and how many cards were optimal and also to see what people might have as ideas to use them for. These ideas were summed up and then expanded in 6 broad areas which would be targeted to begin with incline with our desire to keep Dry Erase Cards as open as possible on what they can be used for.
We worked with suppliers all across the country in order to build and produce a product we were happy with and bring it all together for a price point that we were happy with.
I often tell clients that the social media you choose should be fit for the business or product you are trying to sell. We went with just two, Twitter and Instagram which were a good fit for us.
Twitter was chosen because we wanted to increase customer interaction with the product and generate interest from areas outside customers who might already know about the product. Our main twitter campgain is the #dailydoodle in which we ask a member of our community to draw us a doodle every day which we feature. This proved so successful that we even created a web app so anybody could make us one, wherever they are.
Because of the visual nature of our product we wanted a social media where we could show this and some creativity we use them for ourselves. Our campaign is on perspective in which we are producing a series of professional photographs of Dry Erase Cards being used as part of the image and perspective of what is in the frame.
We produced a fully functioning e-commerce website. All the photography, design and creation was fully undertaken by Zeoin, producing a website that we are really proud of and most importantly sells.
Along we our social media we also focus strongly on SEO as well as utilising our skills with Google Adwords to generate interest and customers.
